We need an adequate grasp of the language to make it readable and fun. We all want to express our emotion and idea through a story. Some of you may have this hobby as a mean of describing your daily activities, through a simple pinkish diary book. However, others face great difficulties when there is a deadline.
There are no quick tips that we can follow. Writing is tough, especially when we do not have the faintest idea what to write. Just be sure of several things before you start. First, try to write about a theme closed to your needs. Second, you always need to choose the right zone, moment and environment, so your creative thoughts could be expressed smoothly. You are the only person that knows that zone. Third, once you have the idea, you must write it down right away, because you do not want to miss that chance! An idea is like gas that can evaporate any moment. Fourth, don’t think to hard! If you get stuck, do not get upset. We all have those blank moments, including our Indonesian top writers. Finally, you can never get enough of your final result. So, you must revise it all over, check it many times until you feel satisfy with it. Be sure, to ask some people (a teacher, a friend, an editor, or your family) to read your work. They are your proofreaders and best advisors.
At last, but not least, never give up on yourself. Practices make things perfect. If a magazine or a blog does not publish your story, you must try to keep writing. The first person needs to be satisfied is not the editor, but it is you. (dphst12)
