GRE offers various tests including the GRE General test or Subject Test.  Five editors have been selected to take the intensive computer-based GRE general test training for 2 weeks from August 15-26, 2016.  During the training, one of the editors, Danu Nugraha was surprised to learn the number 0 is considered an even number.  “That’s new to me,” he said, with a grin.  They attended additional free 5-hour review sessions, with 3 hours on Saturday, September 3, 2016 and 2 hours on Tuesday, September 6, 2016.

They took the GRE on Wednesday morning, September 7, 2016 at a test center in Jakarta.  Beginning from 9:00 a.m., each was assigned to the computer monitors for the test. The 4 ½-hour test is divided into 2 components including qualitative test which covers English and quantitative test covers math.  The highest score for each part of the test 170, with the highest total score reaching 340.   The preferred scores for entry to the top graduate schools range from 161 to 169 for English section and from 152 to 169 for math section.

GRE scores are accepted at many graduate schools in the United States including MBA programs.  GRE scores will be sent by email within 10 to 15 days from the test date. The scores are valid for 5 years from the test date.  The scores will be included in the applications of the selected graduate school, along with completing interviews, writing essays and applying for scholarships.

Congratulations to GRE candidates!
